Our aluminium gates are supplied complete with a 15-year guarantee against any manufacturing default or deformation, subject to compliance with our maintenance guidelines and use.

Any accessories fitted to the gates are supplied with the following manufacturers guarantees:

Locinox – Intralec Electric Strike, Electradrop Drop Bolt, Manual Lockable Drop Bolts, Puma Hinges, Tiger Hinges

The above are all guaranteed for 3 years or 500,000 Cycles.

Rolling Centre – Wrap Around Hinges.

Supplied with a 1.5million cycle guarantee.

Aluminium Sublimation & Powder Coated Finish Guarantee.

Our aluminium gates and fencing profiles are supplied with a 10-year finish guarantee that covers the product from any blistering, peeling and corrosion.  Any corrosion resulting from impact or external elements is excluded from this guarantee.

The warranty on the finish of the gates is reduced if installed near to the coastline as follows:

Instructions for Use.

• Aligates aluminium gates and fencing should only be used under normal conditions.
• Abnormal use is classed as follows:
  Operating the gates during windy weather conditions
  Forcing/slamming the gates open or closed – Gates must be operated without force and any difficulties reported to your installer immediately.
  Climbing over the gates or fencing.

Maintenance Guidelines.

• Over time with exposure to the elements, powder coatings may show signs of weathering such as loss of gloss, chalking and slight colour change. A simple regular clean will minimise the effects of weathering and will remove dirt, grime and other build-up detrimental to all powder coatings.
• Cleaning should start at the time the products are installed, ensuring that construction materials such as concrete, plaster and paint splashes are removed before they have a chance to dry. Failure to remove these materials at this early stage will require the use of aggressive cleaning materials and techniques with potential damage to the powder coated surface.
• The best method of cleaning of our products is by regular washing of the coating using a solution of warm water and non-abrasive, pH neutral detergent solution. Surfaces should be thoroughly rinsed after cleaning to remove all residues. All surfaces should be cleaned using a soft cloth or sponge or nothing harsher than a soft natural bristle brush.
• Sheltered areas can be more at risk of coating degradation than exposed areas. This is because wind-blown salt and other pollutants may adhere to the surface and will not be cleaned away with rainfall. These areas should be inspected and cleaned if necessary, on a more regular basis.
• Gates located near to coastlines will also require more regular cleaning procedures. Please see table on Page 1 for more information.
• Hinges are to be greased upon installation and a minimum of every 6 months thereafter.
• Monthly inspections to be carried out by the homeowner and any defects reported immediately.
• Gates to be regularly serviced by a competent installer every 12 months and a service sheet completed and kept on record.

Exclusions.

The following exclusions apply to the aluminium gates and fencing and the coated finish:

• Improper installation and handling
• Normal wear or tear and aging
• Third party involvement
• Mishandling or misuse
• Friction from blunt objects
• Any damaged caused by abrasive cleaning products. In no circumstance should any abrasive cleaner or polish, or any cleaner containing ketones, esters be used.
• Damage caused by non-compliance of our maintenance guidelines.
• Distortion of the support surface
• Defects resulting from any external sources: i.e. natural disasters etc
• Defects from any substantial thermal shocks
• Any defect caused by galvanic couples resulting from the application of any parts mode of incompatible alloys, i.e. steel, copper. Lead etc

T&C’s.

• A VALID WARRANTY FORM MUST BE COMPLETED AND RETURNED TO US FOLLOWING COMPLETION OF INSTALLATION. (Details can be found in the Handover pack)
• All goods to be installed by a competent/qualified installer.
• Our liability under this warranty is limited to the supply of replacement parts only.
• Aligates & ETS do not accept responsibility for any additional work to replace the components or accept claims for consequential expenditure or loss.
• Failures must not be the result of influences outside our control – i.e. incorrect fitting or use, distortion of frames or building subsidence etc
• Warranties on the replacement parts/gates will be covered to the end of the original warranty period.
• We reserve the right to replace any products or gates with parts that are currently in production that are of the same/similar specifications.
• Warranties are subject to regular adequate maintenance of all installed goods – Service record to be supplied with any warranty claims.
• Without our written consent, no modifications or alterations are to be made to the gates.
• This guarantee is not transferable after a period of 12 months.
• Aligates must be given reasonable chance to inspect any products/gates during the claim period prior to supplying any replacement parts.
